The quality requirements of corrugated paper come from the precision and stability of the paper roll when wrapping and unrolling it and not crease caused by the twisting towel effect caused by the unsynchronization of the two sides of the paper roll. For this, Fukuta developed a direct drive permanent magnet synchronous servo motor. The speed of both sides of the paper roll can be precisely controlled to achieve the effect of synchronization. After synchronization, absolute flatness can be achieved during unrolling, and the loss of mechanical performance can be reduced, increase efficiency, and reduce maintenance costs.

The cardboard cutting process (Rotary cutting machine, spiral paper cutting machine) to use a spiral cutter to cut the paper, the continuous maximum speed can reach more than 300 M/min., and the cutting accuracy can reach within ±1 mm. Besides that the cutting operation should be paired with good control system, the characteristics of the motor are more important. The synchronous servo motor developed and designed by Fukuta has excellent rotor inertia, which makes it possible to obtain better results in carton cutting operation.
