直駆式モータ（Direct Drive）の主な特徴は、減速機を必要とせず、モーター本体が負荷端に直接接続されているため、メカニズムによる位置決め誤差、バックラッシュ、空転の問題が軽減されることです。富田設計開発した直駆式32極永磁同期モーターは、定格トルクは最大353 N.mに達することができ、最低速は150 RPMで、高精度のエンコーダーとドライバを組み合わせると正確な位置決めができ、超低速でも安定して運転できます。
